The 15 homes developed by the Housing Trust at Glory View demonstrate how green building practices can be successfully integrated into the design, construction, operation and maintenance of affordable housing. As affordable home developers, we recognize that affordability and the true long-term cost of homeownership does not end with the sticker price. In 2009, Glory View was the first residential development in Wyoming to receive LEED for Homes Certification. Each of the 15 homes received Gold LEED certification. Glory View also marked our first partnership with St. John’s Medical Center. In an effort to mitigate the total subsidy of the project and ensure all 15 homes would be permanently affordable, the Housing Trust sold five homes to the hospital in a below market sale in consideration for the Hospital restricting the sale of those homes to hospital employees.
