Group, Realtor want to lift occupancy limit

Stephen Haroian is no stranger to the “Jackson shuffle.”

He understands what it’s like to be forced to move from one rental to another, and he even had to live in a tent for a summer. That’s why he decided to take action on what he sees as a housing issue in the community.

A town of Jackson rule limits to three the number of unrelated people who can live in a house. As a real estate agent, Haroian learned of the ordinance after a client was found to be in violation for filling a four-bedroom house with renters.
