Electeds ready to vote on new housing regs

New rules that could reshape development in Teton County are up for a vote this week.

In an attempt to require developers to provide housing for the employees they generate, elected officials are turning to a tool called “mitigation.”

As job growth outpaces housing growth and housing becomes less affordable, mitigation requires developers to provide housing for the employees that are needed to build, operate and provide public services for a project.
