The Housing Trust is committed to a proactive and
vigilant pursuit of innovative solutions to the housing
crunch in our community. We have acquired enough land to
build up to 57 new affordable homes over the next three
years.
The following affordable neighborhoods are currently in
development thanks to generous community support:
McCabe Corner - In
December 2005, the Housing Trust purchased four
adjoining lots on the corner of Glenwood and Gill, two
blocks from Town Square. Soon after, we entered into a
partnership with the Eden Group to develop a mixed free
market and affordable residential neighborhood on this
parcel of land in the heart of downtown Jackson. The
target completion date for McCabe Corner is fall 2009.
Daisy Bush - Our newest acquisition will provide affordable home to eight
JHCHT applicants. This past spring the Jackson Hole Community Housing Trust
in partnership with St. John's Medical Center purchased seven lots in the
Daisy Bush subdivision, located in east Jackson, to provide affordable
housing for sixteen households (eight JHCHT applicants and eight SJMC
employees). We anticipate construction on these homes to begin fall of 2009.
We expect these homes will be built to the same standard as was established
at Glory View.
Paddleford Square - In honor of Bill Paddleford, a vocal proponent of
affordable housing and a Housing Trust board member, the Housing Trust
Board unanimously voted to rename our new neighborhood located at 425 South
Millward "Paddleford Square." This parcel of five adjacent town lots is
next on the Trust's agenda to develop into affordable homes for nine
deserving households. These units will be a combination of one and two
bedroom townhomes.
The properties mentioned above, and a parcel on Hall
Street, will house up to 57 new families over the next
several years!
We have the land, and we have the plans, now we need
your support to help bring these projects to fruition.

owning a home a reality for other deserving individuals
